His pupil

Today is one of those rare days that I have gifted to myself to do whatever I wish.  I intended to take one of those days over the Labor Day holiday, but alas; there was just too much to be done.  In any case…after I made the bed and ensured the kitchen was spotless (my everyday chores from Daddy), I allowed myself to start a project that I have been wanting to engage in for some time. 

You see, not long ago, I was submitting to Daddy and I’s dear friend, Implacable.  Implacable and I met through this blog about a year ago and not long after, began to engage in email correspondence.  I have roughly 400 pages or so of letters between the two of us and his lovely wife, as we explored our lives and our thoughts surrounding the fascinating world of D/s.  Something about Implacable that caught my eye early on, was his masterful use of language.  Despite the fact that he resists academia, he has greatly improved this girl’s vocabulary over time.  With this in mind, I decided that good use of my time would include journaling all of the words that he has taught me, in a journal that I bought when I was submitting to him.  It took me about two hours to re-read 55 pages of our correspondence and record each new word that was presented to me in his writings.  I will continue with this project when time allows, and I must say…it was so nice to put actual pen to actual paper!  These days, as much of my world occurs in cyberspace, I spend much time typing it all out.  Holding a pen felt quite decadent to this writer.    

I hope this doesn’t give my readers cause to see me as an ignoramus… I suspect that some of these words were new to me as they are less commonly used in the States, or perhaps we can blame it on the shoddy American educational system… or, perhaps I should have paid better attention in school.

I am paying attention now.
