One of my favorite aspects to blogging and reading the blogs of others here on WordPress, is the exposure to a variety of perspectives. Man, woman, transgender, those who are spiritual, those who are not, those who speak of sex openly, those who are more guarded, and on and on and on. I think that for many of us, in our day-to-day lives, we are surrounded by others who share our perspective or similar experiences, or who live near us geographically. But, here in the blogging world, we get to interact and read about the experiences of others which may be way outside our comfort zone, or read about something we desperately want for ourselves, or gain exposure to things which we don’t ever want to experience. In many ways, reading about the experiences of others is an INCREDIBLE learning opportunity, one for which, I myself am very grateful.
My perspective is that of a woman who grew up in a rural area. I have lived other places but have ultimately chosen to settle down where I was raised. My perspective is largely shaped by my experiences, which include enjoying a long-term marriage, a close-knit family, being comfortable financially, becoming educated, enjoying two careers that I enjoy, being comfortable with myself, traveling extensively, etc. Things that I have not experienced, and the lack-there-of has in ways shaped my perspective is not having and raising children, never experiencing divorce, never experiencing being poor, never struggling with racism, having low self-esteem, etc.
There is so much more to consider regarding how perspective is shaped, but I’ve touched on a few of the biggies. What is fascinating to me is that in this space, this space being WordPress, is that I get to gain insight into perspectives of which I would never have known existed. Now, I choose to follow mostly blogs which center around the topics of domestic discipline and Dominance & submission. And yet, I learn about so much more!
I suppose I am just feeling reflective this morning. I have been doing a lot of reading lately…books about finding purpose, life after grief, things like that. I am starting to see that our lives happen in cycles, or spirals…they circle round and round, but each spiral is slightly different leaving us is a slightly different place and changed.
I know this post wasn’t particularly “sexy” or “naughty”. I could have written about the incredible sex that Daddy and I had last night…which started with 30 strokes of the cane and ended with a mind-blowing orgasm derived from a huge jelly cock that he slowly and deliberately fucked me with. But, I’m in a self-reflective stage right now. I hope you all will stick with me.
Happy reading and writing 🙂
Love, nora
Truer words regarding this blogging world have not been written! We learn and experience life through others’ eyes. And we are supported when down and hurting. It’s a wonderful thing. But I really think you might include a picture of the large jelly like dildo in your next post… just sayin!😜

Well I’m just thinking “inquiring minds would likely want to know”. And it is quite an anonymous pic!! I really am asking for all your female readers. It’s an altruistic act!

You are so thoughtful, Michael!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Perhaps I could edit the post to include a dick pic…I mean, dildo pic. But trust me…it was long, pink, firm…and incredibly amazing 🙂

Your posts don’t have to be sexual to be interesting! I agree with what you wrote about learning from perspectives.
In fact I’d like to thank you Nora. When I first joined WP I followed female subs and a few male Doms because that was my interest at the time. Reading your comments section I began to notice how diverse your following was. It made me think I should branch out and follow those different from me, to see what could be learned and what kind of connections could be made. I’m so glad I did that. It has lead to some great friendships and interesting reads and an increase in knowledge.
So thank you for setting such a good example to a newbie blogger on the scene 🙂

Thank you for the compliment, sayyidsgirl!!! While not intending to be an example in any way, if I have helped out on your journey, that brings me great joy! And thank you for saying it doesn’t have to always be sexual to be interesting…it is hard to maintain that level of sexual activity! I’ve noticed for us, it comes and goes in spurts (no pun intended :-))

I am very new to blogging, but am finding so much joy in the diversity in this world. As you say, there are so many different perspectives on life in general, and it is beautiful to see
