Hello all!
One would truly have to have their head stuck in the sand to not notice all of the Wicked Wednesday blog posts that circulate every Wednesday…but my question to you is, where do these prompts come from? A quick internet search did nothing to illuminate the situation for me but I will admit to being a bit technologically challenged at times. If any of you could explain to me how I sign up to receive the prompts and become a member of this wickedly delicious club, I will be forever grateful.
And, I figured if I was wondering, others of you in our writing community may be wondering as well 🙂
Thank you in advance!
Love, nora
Very good point. I haven’t a clue!

Does Wicked Wednesday follow Mad Monday and Terrific Tuesday? Or Before Tremendous Thursday and Freaky Friday?

Allow me to illuminate! The lady who runs it is the wonderful Marie, AKA, @RebelsNotes – and the link you need is here: http://wickedwednesday.rebelsnotes.com/2017/08/prompt-274/
It’s a really great way to introduce you to new readers – each week, Marie suggests a prompt for your writing (this week it’s “celebrity”) which you are free to interpret as you want or ignore completely. The only rules are it should be original, new (i.e. within the last 30 days) and less than 1200 words (though you can flex that a bit!).
It doesn’t have to be fiction, though a lot of it is. It can be just an image if you like. If you go the site, why not browse some previous weeks to give you an idea of the sort of thing.

Hi, nora. Click this link http://wickedwednesday.rebelsnotes.com/ and follow. Rebel posts a new prompt every Saturday, and you can write something and post at any time until the next post. You don’t have to follow the prompt! Any post is welcome. Rebel lives in The Netherlands.

Any post with the word Wicked in it always catches my eye 🙂 I did not know of the rebelposts, but have heard Wicked Wednesdays used promotionally through most of my life. I does not however seem to have overtaken HumpDay as the preferred descriptor for Wednesdays.

Sorry to be late to the party. 🙄
Glad you’ve got all the info you need for #WickedWednesday. I am, funnily enough, writing a post on erotica (and similar) memes; maybe that will give you a few more to follow or participate in, nora, in case you’ve not come across them before.

Please tell me more, Ina! How do I participate?

There’s quite a lot of different ones, nora. I’ll collate what I can, together with sex-related writing projects, and post as soon as I can. Will it be OK if I link the post to the comments section here, so that others can use the info if they want it?
I do have an idea for one that might be right up your street, though… need to discuss it with a certain Sir, first… I’ll get back to you about it! 😉
